Monday, October 1st the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Women’s club named its 2018-2019 Woman of the Year. That award was presented to Sue Thaden, President and CEO of Client Resources Inc. and From Now On. Sue was nominated “because of her involvement in STEM education in the University of Nebraska system, as well as, her outstanding example of a woman who contributes her time and talent to the community.”
About the UNO Women’s Club
The UNO Women’s Club is a group comprised of faculty, staff, spouses and alumni. This year, the club awarded 12 students each with $1,000 scholarships. Many of these women are non-traditional or international students.
“The UNO Women’s Club has three primary goals: to promote and support activities of the University of Nebraska Omaha, to provide opportunities for social interactions among women connected to the University of Nebraska Omaha, and to raise funds to support scholarships for non-traditional students attending the University of Nebraska Omaha.”
